YARELI ARIZMENDI
Award winning actress, writer and producer, Yareli Arizmendi is best known for her tour de force performances as “Rosaura” in “Like Water for Chocolate” and “Lila Rodriguez” in “A Day Without a Mexican” which she co-wrote and co-produced.
She has starred in many American films and episodic shows, (www.imdb.me/yareli).
Yareli has lent her voice to many products, public awareness campaigns and audio books including The Alchemist, Like Water for Chocolate, Where We Come From, A Dream Called Home and American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins (www.Audible.com).
Her experience with documentary filmmaking sharpened her interviewing and narrating skills.

A Cuban-Mexican born in Mexico City who has lived in the United States since she was fourteen, Yareli received her BA in Political Science and her MFA in Theatre from the University of California, San Diego.

SERGIO ARAU
A multi-undisciplinary Artist, was born in Mexico City, where he received his MFA in Film Studies at CUEC.
Celebrated filmmaker, artist, and musician, Sergio Arau was director and co-writer of the hit feature film A Day Without a Mexican.
In 2016, the Museo de las Artes (MUSA) in Guadalajara, recognized his thirty-five-year career as visual artist and political cartoonist, with the exhibit ARTNACÓ.
His latest art show – General Eclectic – took place in Mexico City at Traeger-Pinto Gallery in 2019.
Arau, seen by many as the father (grandfather?) of rock en español, formed his now legendary rock band, Botellita de Jerez in 1983.
The group opened Rockotitlan, the club that birthed the likes of Caifanes, Café Tacuba, Maldita Vecindad, among many. Released in 2010, he directed the mockumentary, Naco Es Chido: The story of Botellita de Jerez, more or less, based on the real facts. Watch the movie here - Password: nakitsch.
